Professor David Stupples
Professor David Stupples specialises in research and development of networked systems and their security. For a number of years he undertook research in military surveillance systems at the Royal Signal and Radar Establishment at Malvern in the UK, followed by satellite surveillance and systems research for the UK Government. He then spent three years developing secure communications and signals processing for surveillance satellites and air defence systems for Hughes Aircraft Corporation in the US.
With PA Consulting Group, where he was a senior partner, he had responsibility the company's consultancy work on the design, build and operation large-scale information networks for world-wide clients.
For City, University of London he has extended this research to internet security, particularly focused on cyber terrorism and organised cybercrime for both the UK government and commercial companies.
CEO, Cyber Security Intelligence
Alfred Rolington is the CEO of Cyber Security Intelligence Ltd, a cyber publishing and consultancy company which specialises in business technology opportunities and security. Alfred is also a Fellow at Cambridge University’s Security Initiative.
Alfred holds a PhD in Philosophy and Intelligence from Cambridge University Corpus Christi, and has a keen interest in creating and building businesses. Alfred has lectured, consulted and mentored executives and businesses throughout his career.
Personally, Alfred is interested in Information and research aspects of business and organisations, and has spoken and written about the history of intelligence, research and information and the development of it over the centuries. As part of this, Alfred has written and lectured on these subjects extensively, giving papers at Corpus Christi Cambridge every term and has written a book for Oxford University Press.
CEO, Me Learning
Nick founded Me Learning, a digital training provider, together with Peter Murr in 2006. Prior to starting Me Learning Nick held senior positions in a number of software solutions companies; helping them grow and develop their professional training services. Over the past 2 years Me Learning has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive programme of GDPR e-learning courses, immersing themselves in the requirements of GDPR and working tightly with legal experts Clayden Law.
As CEO of a rapidly growing company, Nick understands the need for organisations to take GDPR seriously. Me Learning's training solution, developed in conjunction with Clayden Law, is one way for organisations to better understand these changes.
Through the creation and support of The GDPR Advisory Board, Nick hopes that organisations across the country will benefit from the expert knowledge of business leaders, lawyers and academics.
Founder, Clayden Law
Piers founded Clayden Law in 2010. Prior to that he was a partner at Manches LLP (now Penningtons), having trained and qualified as a solicitor with DLA Piper in the City. Clayden Law specialises in Information Technology, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity law.
Piers is currently advising clients as regards GDPR and has presented at a number of high profile conferences as a GDPR legal expert.
During the course of his career, Piers has been on secondment in-house with large multinational companies such as Taylor Woodrow, Hasbro, Granada TV (now ITV) and Vodafone.
